We put our heart into this...

Our equipment is from Tasmanian Brewing Royalty. We spent years ensuring that the equipment we sourced was ideal for our purpose. It's all second hand (furthering our sustainable philosophies) and its from some of Tasmania's finest breweries. We don't claim to be experts. We're just lucky enough to know a heap of them and be really willing to learn. Beer doesn't need to be pretentious, we just brew it to be what we think is tasty as heck and try our best to be the best we can.

We're tiny

We're just a Family who do this as a side hustle. Joe the Brewer is a High School Maths/Science teacher at the local school. The chemistry of beer appeals to him. Lisa teaches little kids and does the books for the brewery. Archer (our 13 year old son) has been designing labels and artwork for Manchild since we started. Derek is his creation! The success of the beer has paid for every step of our journey so far. We are so greatful for the support of all of our fantastic customers, who allow us to continually grow well beyond our wildest dreams.

Our brews focus purely on flavour. We just want you to enjoy the juice. Far too many people are caught up in the beer wank. Tradition is fantasic and we lean into stylistic elements of beer history that appeals to our inner nerd...but at the end of the day we just want tasty beer. It's not fine wine, it's beer. Simple, gorgeous and tasty. Don't get carried away.
